PILOT INTAKE FOR MENTALLY LIT PROGRAMME

Dear Sir/Madam

PILOT INTAKE FOR MENTALLY LIT PROGRAMME

Greetings from the Singapore Scout Association (SSA)!

The Singapore Scout Association is pleased to be collaborating with the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) to pilot the Mentally LIT Programme.  We would like to invite all registered Scout and Venture aged from 15 years to 18 years to participate in this new initiative.

The Mentally LIT Programme is a local adaptation of an existing programme called Mental Health Literacy from Canada (www.mentalhealthliteracy.org) to improve the mental health literacy of our youths. This is done by addressing the following:

  1. Understanding how to optimize and maintain good mental health
  2. Understanding mental illnesses and their treatments
  3. Reducing stigma associated with mental illness
  4. Enhancing help-seeking behaviours (knowing when and where to seek help)

Please refer to Annex A for further details.

Registration is based on a first-come first-served basis. Kindly register via MSDS’s Youth Programme Registration portal: http://intranet.scout.org.sg by Friday, 6 May 2022Only accepted registrations will be duly notified.

Kindly contact Ms Lee Pui Ling, Senior Executive (Programme & Partnership) at puiling.lee@scout.org.sg or Ms Emily Ho, Programme Assistant at emily.ho@scout.org.sg or call us at 62592858 for any clarifications.
