Greetings from the Singapore Scout Association.

The National Rover Council (NRC) is proud to present the pinnacle year-end event, Rover Rendezvous alongside Project Rigel after a long halt due to COVID-19!

The event this year will focus on the theme of Adventure, Service and Fellowship together with our Special Needs Scouts, to celebrate the comeback of Rover Rendezvous and Project Rigel after the hiatus.

This one-day event will be held on Saturday, 19th November 2022, with a series of exciting and thrilling activities which have been lined up for all our participants and volunteers.

The following are some highlights of the activities:

  • Carnival – Mixture of pioneering structures such as a gateway and carnival games for all to enjoy
  • Campfire – Night event for fellowship and to reignite the flames of friendship

 Rover Rendezvous x Rigel (R³) 2022 is now open for registration. Please register via MSDS Registration portal: http://intranet.scout.org.sg by Saturday, 15th October 2022, 5.00pm.  Accepted registrations will be duly notified. No withdrawal/replacement is allowed once the invoice is issued.

Eligibility : Venture Scout, Rover Scout, Special Needs Scout
Fee : $12 before GST ($12.84 inclusive of GSD) per participant
Attire : Respective Scout Unit’s T-shirt of Half-Uniform with National Scarf
Registration Closing Date : Saturday, 15th October 2022, 1700hrs

SPECIAL NEEDS UNITS’CAMPFIRE 2022

Greetings from the Singapore Scout Association (SSA)

The Special Needs (SN) Roundtable is pleased to invite all units (SN & non-SN units) to participate in an online campfire that will take place on Friday, 27th May 2022.

As large face-to-face activities are currently restricted, the virtual Campfire will enable participants to continue to foster the Scouting Sprit of forging new friendships, learning scouting songs, and building rapport over the duration of the event. Consequently, participants will also learn to appreciate and respect each other’s unique abilities and enjoy the camaraderie that would have been built over the course of the campfire.

: Registration starts at 0915hrs
Venue : via Zoom platform. More details will be disseminated soon.
Maximum Capacity : 150 participants (priority will be given to SN units)
Attire : Full Scout Uniform/Smart Casual (New Unit Leaders)
Registration Closing Date : 4th April 2022, Monday, 1700hrs

SPECIAL NEEDS UNITS’ HIKE 2022

Greetings from the Singapore Scout Association (SSA).

The Special Needs (SN) Roundtable is pleased to invite all units (SN & non-SN units) to participate in its inaugural combined hike which will take place from 5thApril to 3rdMay 2022. Do note that the hike has been structured to take into consideration prevailing Safe Management Measures.

Though the focus of the upcoming SN Hike is on building resilience and perseverance, it is also the intention of the Organisers that participants would at the same time take in the sights, observe the fauna, and enjoy the surrounding nature. In addition, the hiking journey would enable participating scouts and all, to develop their sense of self-awareness, including strengthening their appreciation of the need to care for the environment that they have been privileged to enjoy.

For further information of the hike, please refer to Annex A and attend the briefing on Wednesday, 30thMarch 2022 for details.

Date and time : 5th April to 3rd May 2022, 1 month duration
Venue : via Google Form (More information will be shared at the briefing)
Briefing : 30th March 2022, Wednesday, 8.00pm to 9.00pm via Zoom
(Zoom details will be provided closer to date)
Maximum Capacity : 150 pax (priority will be given to SN units)
Cost* : $5.35 w/GST ($5.00) per participant
Attire : Sporty attire or anything that is comfortable
Registration Closing Date : 26th March 2022, Saturday, 1700hrs
Interested units may register their Scouts via MSDS’s Youth Programme registration portal:http://intranet.scout.org.sg
Accepted registration will be notified

*Upon confirmation of registration, no refund will be allowed once invoice has been issued unless the organizer cancels the event. Hereof, the Singapore Scout Association reserves the right to cancel/postpone the event and reject application when necessary.
